  PFC Neftchi - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
PFC Neftchi, also known as Neftchi Baku, is an Azerbaijani football club from the capital, Baku, that currently plays in the Azerbaijani Premier League.
During the years of 1937-1968, it was known as Neftyanik and it was renamed to Neftchi in 1969.
As far as the European Cups are concerned, PFC Neftchi have managed to pass twice the first round of the Champions League qualification, having defeated Bosnian champions - FC Shiroki Brieg and Icelandic champions - FC Hafnafyordur in 2004 and 2005 respectively.

The so-called 'golden game' -- held because the two teams finished the season on equal points at the top of the table -- was played in the country's second-largest city, Ganja, in front of a 26,000-strong crowd.
