Nehemiah Abbott (March 29, 1804 - July 26, 1877) was a Representative from Maine.
He was born in Sidney, Maine, studied law at the Litchfield, Connecticut Law School, was admitted to the bar in 1836 and began his practice at Calais, Maine.
In 1839 Abbott moved to Columbus, Mississippi, where he continued the practice of law, but the following year he returned to Maine and settled in Belfast, Waldo County, where he resumed the practice of law.

Harry Braithwaite Abbott, C.E. (Pacific Superintendent of the Canadian Pacific Railway; born 5 October, 1857;) Harry was considered one of the most competent engineers of the era, and was deeply involved in the planning and completion of the Canadian Pacific Railway, of which Harry was at times acting Chief Engineer.
There is a Maude Abbott Society in Ontario, and the Canadian Association of Medical Women, of which Maude was founder, recently honoured her at their national convention.

In April Sarah Cloyce (Rebecca Nurse's sister), John Proctor, Abigail Hobbs, Bridget Bishop, Giles Corey, Mary Warren, Nehemiah Abbott, William and Deliverance Hobbs, Edward and Sarah Bishop, Mary Easty (released in May but rejailed because her accusers insisted), Mary Black, Sarah Wildes, and Mary English were examined before the judges Hathorne and Corwin.
In May accused and examined were Sarah Morey, Lydia Dustin, Susannah Martin, Dorcas Hoar, George Burroughs, Sarah Churchill (one of the afflicted girls), George Jacobs, Sr.
