On November 1, 2004, the municipalities of Fukuno, Inami, Johana, Inokuchi, Kamitaira, Taira and Toga (all from Higashitonami District) and Fukumitsu from Nishitonami District merged to form the new city of Nanto.
On April 1, 2005, the towns of Osawano and Oyama from Kaminiikawa District and the towns and villages of Fuchu, Hosoiri, Yamada and Yatsuo (all from Nei District) merged with the old city of Toyama to form the new city of Toyama.
On November 1, 2005, the city of Shinminato and the municipalities of Daimon, Kosugi, Oshima and Shimo (all from Imizu District) merged to form the new city of Imizu.

The district dissolved on April 1, 2005, when the towns of Osawano and Oyama merged with the municipalities of Fuchu, Hosoiri, Yamada and Yatsuo (all from Nei District) and the old city of Toyama to form the new city of Toyama.
Nei District was also dissolved as a result of this merger.

Further evidence of the long history of Etchu papers can also be found in the Heian period (794-1185) document on court protocol, the Engishiki, in which it is recorded that paper was used to pay taxes.
From the beginning of the Edo period (1600-1868) traditional papers from the Yao district were used in various ways including to wrap medicines; and papers from Tairamura village were produced in large quantities for the local Kaga clan that ruled the area of present-day Ishikawa prefecture.
It is the legacy of all these traditional papers that has been handed down to us today.

Information on about 2,800 patients who had surgery at a privately-run hospital in Toyama between 1997 and December 2004 was unintentionally uploaded to the Internet.
According to the hospital, the man in charge of data on surgery transferred the information--consisting of patients' names, sexes, birthdates and information on surgical procedures for which they were hospitalized--to his personal computer, which was infected with a virus that compromised the data.

The Dojo no Kami was placed on 12 June, we moved in on 10 June -- that day, TOYAMA Sensei placed the beautiful dojo clock, and set the time -- therefore "starting time" for the dojo, giving permission to begin classes whenever feasible.
I had a chance to practice Mushindo Kempo for 'only three years' in Zagreb, Croatia from 1985 to 1988 and was attracted to continue in London.
I also spent last two weeks in the Shaolin Temple learning Nei Gong and Qi Gong.
