Neilston is a village of about 6000 population located on a hill 12 miles south west of Glasgow, Scotland's largest city.
The picture on the left is updated at regular intervals throughout the day.

 Neilston Curling Club - SportFocus - Website
The first Neilston curling club was formed at a meeting in 1824, and known by the name of Neilston Curlers Society.
In recent years Neilston have maintained two teams in the Interclub League Division 1, with Neilston teams being winners and runners up in the 2005/06 season, at the Greenacres Ice rink prize giving in April 2006, Neilston were congratulated on this achievement.
Neilston have also had success in the Barratt Cup having won the Cup in successive seasons 2005/06 and 2006/07.

Neilston Station, originally named Neilston High, as there was a Neilston Low on the Barrhead-Kilmarnock line, is the terminus of the electric train line from Glasgow.
It was opened in 1903 when the Lanarkshire and Ayrshire Railway built its line through the village to the coast at Ardrossan.
LISTEN: Gina Henderson describes the days when she was as a small child and would board the steam train at Neilston for a day trip to the sea side at Ardrossan.

I've been to Neilston Quarry once before, it is ideal for beginers as there are some easy routes which are not high and can be top roped.
Ask for directions to "the pad" but walk 100m beyond the sign and entrance for the pad's country walk to reach the crag.

The proposal to develop and to agree an Action Plan for Neilston Village came from the East Renfrewshire Community Planning Partnership Regeneration Plan (2005-2008) This Regeneration Plan sets out the Community Planning Partnership’s intentions to improve the quality of life and to reduce poverty for East Renfrewshire residents living in Regeneration Priority Areas.
Since early Summer 2005 members of the Neilston Village Regeneration Group have been consulting with the wider community to find out the priorities of the Neilston residents.
The consultations have included a Residents Survey, which has been undertaken by the Business Forum and Neilston Space to Live, and an Ideas Shop which was hosted by Space to Live at the Glen Halls in June 2005.
