Buffalo County is a county located in the U.S. state of Wisconsin.
The racial makeup of the county was 98.69% White, 0.12% Black or African American, 0.30% Native American, 0.33% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.08% from other races, and 0.46% from two or more races.
In the county, the population was spread out with 25.10% under the age of 18, 6.90% from 18 to 24, 27.60% from 25 to 44, 23.70% from 45 to 64, and 16.80% who were 65 years of age or older.

Nels Nelson, Jr., was a son of the late Reverend Nels Nelson of the preceding sketch.
Nelson was married in 1866 to Christine Anderson, also a native of the Kingdom of Denmark and a very estimable woman.
Nelson was buried in the Saron cemetery where the body of his father rests and which to them was a hallowed spot.

EAU CLAIRE — A 40,000 gallon manure spill, half of which entered Buffalo County streams, caused a fish kill on two trout streams and destroyed invertebrate populations needed for fish life, according to the findings of a Department of Natural Resources team of water quality, fisheries, law enforcement and spill workers.
Eaton's report said that at downstream from the spill, at County AA and the stream there were many dead amphipods and earthworms.
Sampling of the stream at County K, further downstream, showed that live fl fly larvae existed, while caddisfly cases were present the organisms were dead or dying and earthworms were dead.
