Edino Krieger was born in March 17 of 1928 in Brusque, a town in Santa Catarina state.
In his childhood, his father taught him how to play the violin and at age of 14, after an concert in Florianopolis, he got a scholarship of the state's governor, Nereu Ramos.
In 1943 Edino went to Rio de Janeiro to study the violin with the teacher Edith Reis, in the Conservatorio Brasileiro de Musica (Brazilian Music Conservatory).
