  Nerve net
A nerve net is a type of simple nervous system that is found in members of the phylum cnidaria.
Although the nerve net keeps the animal aware of its environment, it has trouble alerting the animal from where the stimulus is coming.
For this reason, simple animals with nerve nets, such as hydra, will typically respond in the same way to contact with an object, regardless of where the contact occurs.

Facial Nerve Problems - Hearing Loss and communication disorders
The facial nerve is a specific motor nerve (a nerve which tells certain muscles to contract) which controls the muscles on the same side of the face.
The facial nerve is the seventh of the twelve cranial nerves which have been named as such because they all exit the brainstem through the base of the skull.
A disorder of the facial nerve may result in facial muscle paralysis, weakness, or twitching of the face; dryness of the eye or the mouth; or alteration of taste on the affected side.

BRIAN ENO - Nerve Net (Re-issue)
Highlights are many, as Nerve Net opens with the magnificent Fractal Zoom, where a bucanneering beat plays host to great big analogue synth sweeps and enigmatic choral vocals.
Nerve Net is also one of the few Eno albums to contain a considerable amount of vocals, for example Ali Click, where Eno amusingly ‘raps’ over rumbling rhythms punctuated by delightfully funky rhythm guitar bursts and amazonian samples in a compulsive melting pot of glistening, jazzy electronica.
However, Nerve Net is unmistakenly an Eno album, it has his considered style stamped all over it, occasionally compulsive, and occasionally goofy too, its textures and colours are not typical Eno, yet his talent remains inescapable.

When the nerve is in its resting state, the fluid outside it has slightly more sodium plus potassium ions than chlorine ions.
Bringing a positive charge to the outside of the nerve requires work because the new positive charge is repelled by the ones already there.
Thus the voltage outside the nerve is positive (positive work done; positive electrostatic potential energy in the new positive charge).

 Zoology: Neural Control
= transmission of the electrical nerve signal - if a stimulus of the membrane occurs that is over a certain threshold of intensity, an action potential is generated.
Some neurotransmitters have an inhibitory effect, so the net result depends on summation of the incomming signals - adding the stimulatory effects and subtracting the inhibitory effects - if the result is above the threshold, an action potential is generated.
These sensory cells are directly connected to a loose network of interconnected neurons, the nerve net.
