 bit-tech.net | Top mods - Neverwinter Nights
Neverwinter Nights appeared in 2002, not so much as a sequel to the classic Baldur's Gate games, but more of a rethink of the way that Advanced Dungeons and Dragons was brought to the computer screen.
Given that Neverwinter Nights is approaching four years old and that a long overdue sequel is due for release within the year, there are three things to consider.
The third thing to consider is that when Neverwinter Nights launched in 2002 it took a fairly good PC to run for the time and it didn't really ever really seem to perform as well as it looked like it should, especially as the years have not been kind to the graphics.

TVG: NeverWinter Nights 2 // PC // Feature
Neverwinter Nights 2 (NWN2) is a computer role-playing game set in the fantasy world of the Forgotten Realms, one of the popular campaign settings of Dungeons and Dragons.
If I were to point to one of the distinguishing features of Neverwinter Nights 2, I would have to say it'd be the stronghold mechanics (recruiting and building your home base) - it's one of the design backbones in the game, and it sees a lot of use throughout the campaign.
The campaign takes place several years after the events in Neverwinter Nights 1 (and those events are referred to and have much to do with the problems facing Faerûn at the moment), but the story stands on its own, and there is no direct continuation between the two titles.
