Ben Nevis (or Beinn Nibheis in Scottish Gaelic) is the highest mountain in the British Isles.

Ben Nevis is also the name of the ship that carried a congregation of Wendish settlers to Texas in 1854.

Nevis is a male dolphin, and is one of the most regularly seen of the adoption project.
Nevis normally appears to be quite sociable but on one occasion he was on his own and when we approached him in the boat he began tail slapping which may be a warning sign used by dolphins to tell other dolphins (and humans!) to keep away.
We often see Nevis hunting for fish, and this activity certainly seems to attract attention from other wildlife, especially the gulls who we have seen trying to catch the fish the dolphins miss and on one very cheeky occasion even chasing Nevis in an attempt to get a fish he had already caught!
