The name Nevrast itself means Hither Shore in the Sindarin tongue, and at first it was applied to all the Northwestern coast of Middle Earth, but later became used only to the lands between the Firth of Drengist and Mount Taras.
After this, Nevrast does not enter into any story and it, with all of Beleriand, was lost in the War of Wrath.

His wife Elenwe was lost crossing the Helcaraxë, but Turgon and his daughter Idril came to Nevrast, where he built Vinyamar and gathered to him one-third of the Noldor of Fingolfin and a large number of Sindar.

If you remember correctly, the Halls of Vinaymer were in Nevrast, under the rule of Turgon, son of Fingolfin.

We had many beautiful entries and it was very difficult to pick the winners.

If Thranduil was indeed around at that time in Doriath or around there anyway, it is entirely possible that he was one of the Sindar that went with Turgon to Gondolin at the beginning, and Legolas was born there.
The Sindar of Nevrast were not the Sindar of Doriath.
Turgon only took the Sindar of Nevrast with him.

It problably went down with Nevrast after the War of Wrath.
The only weapon of Tuor I remember surviving was his axe Dramborleg (BoLT 2, U.T) and since his spear is never mentioned again one can presume it was lost.

Voronwë, referred to with the Sindarin name Bronweg in some texts, was found by Tuor one day, washed up on the cliffs of Nevrast, sopping wet and covered in seaweed.
They sailed for seven years, but none of their sailors were ever seen again, except for Voronwë.
He was the single lucky Elf to be picked up on a wave by Ulmo and deposited on the cliffs of Nevrast to be found by Tuor only an hour later.

In the south, it was an east-west range that divided Dor-Lomin and Mithrim to the north from Beleriand to the south, then in the east it curved around to the northwest, forming the boundary of Hithlum.
A line of hills to the southwest formed the southern boundary of Nevrast, while the Mountains of Mithrim were a northwesterly spur that separated Dor-Lomin from Mithrim.
Several rivers arose in the Ered Wethrin, including Narog, Teiglin, and Sirion.
