New England Football Conference commissioner Sue Lauder has announced Plymouth State and the Coast Guard Academy have been admitted as members of the NEFC starting in the 2006 season.
After beginning its football program in 1970, Plymouth State was a member of the NEFC from 1971-91, winning or sharing nine titles in those 21 seasons.
The NEFC regular season schedule will include one game against each member of its own division and one contest against a team in the other division.

The Bears are currently ranked 5th in the New England Division III Football poll.

I received a report that this team was using a new logo on its helmets in 2004; the new logo was described as being identical to the old Seattle Seahawks logo.
