Mercer County, New Jersey Route 653 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It is Calhoun Street in Trenton, New Jersey from an intersection with Business United States Highway 1, United States Highway 206, and New Jersey Secondary Highway 583 to the Calhoun Street Bridge, where the highway ends as it goes into Pennsylvania.
In fact, it was part of NJ 583 before that highway was truncated into a multiplex.
In earlier times, this highway was part of the Calhoun Street Extension, and part of it was the Lincoln Highway until 1920.

New Jersey State Highway 179 is a state highway in New Jersey, United States.
Like many state highways in New Jersey, it was created when a United States highway was rerouted; in this case, the highway that was rerouted was United States Highway 202.

A.S. Goldmen & Co. v. New Jersey Bureau of Securities   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-20)
New Jersey's attempt to preserve § 60 by pointing to its legitimate interest in preventing fraud is not unlike Iowa's attempt to preserve its regulation by arguing that it furthered the safety of its interstate highways in Kassell.
New Jersey can not prevent the sale of a security in a state where the sale is proper merely by alleging a concern for the speculative nature of Imatec, and alleging concerns regarding Goldmen's business practices.
Thus, New Jersey's only connection with this interstate transaction lies in the fortuitous circumstance that a broker-dealer would be sitting at a desk somewhere in New Jersey making telephone calls to residents of the 16 states where Imatec securities are appropriately registered and authorized for purchase.

New Jersey also has a system of secondary highways.
The 500-series highways are designated by the state but county-maintained and have county highway shields.
The state has encouraged each county to use numbers in the 600-699 range for its county highways with overflow to 700-799 and 800-899, but the system was voluntary, and two counties (Bergen and Monmouth) did not switch, and those counties use 1- and 2-digit county routes.
