The State Grand Jury indictment results from a December, 2004 incident in Bridgeton City after the defendant disobeyed the trooper's order, fled the scene of a motor vehicle stop, and resisted arrest by assaulting the trooper.
The State Grand Jury indictment charged Parker Allen Custis, 32, State Highway 77, Bridgeton, Cumberland County, with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, hindering apprehension or prosecution, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS).
The State Grand Jury indictment was handed-up to Mercer County Superior Court Judge Linda R. Feinberg on Feb. 2.

The New Jersey Median Barrier is the tapered concrete barrier that is used in many narrow highway medians, to prevent vehicle crossovers into oncoming traffic.
The state highway department observed the accident results of its barrier installations, and evolved the shape of the barrier.
Both New Jersey and California continued experimenting in the early 1960s, and the New Jersey barrier was widely adopted by California; they installed 132 miles by 1972 and 680 miles by 1988.

 Garden State Parkway
On April 14, 1952, the State Legislature enacted legislation to create the New Jersey Highway Authority, which was to construct, operate and maintain a self-sufficient toll parkway from Paramus to Cape May. Orrie de Nooyer was appointed as the first executive director of the New Jersey Highway Authority.
Although it received strong support from state leaders, the plan to eliminate tolls eventually was criticized by bondholders, who considered the move as politically motivated and financially irresponsible, as well as by members of the toll collectors' union, who feared losing their jobs.
The entire length of the extension between NJ 17 in Paramus and the New York State Thruway was $21.3 million, $17.0 million of which was borne by the New Jersey Highway Authority and the remainder by the New York State Thruway Authority.

The PPOO Highway had been organized on March 18, 1914, at a meeting in St. Joseph, Missouri, to promote improvement and use of a road from New York City to San Francisco.
In Pennsylvania the highway is being organized as the "William Penn Highway," and arrangements are under way for a meeting to be held at Harrisburg in March to complete organization.
U.S. 22 Alternate crossing the river from New Jersey is re-routed to the north in Easton to a junction with the new location above as described, and the remaining portion of U.S. 22 between Easton and Bethlehem is to be abandoned.

The new arena would feature 88 to 100 luxury suites, compared to 29 at Continental Airlines arena which would be replaced in the deal.

 JUVENILE COURT - NEW CASTLE COUNTY
The Clerk of the Peace for New Castle County was the clerk of the Juvenile Court and was responsible for keeping the dockets, records, and proceedings.
When the jurisdiction of the court was extended to include all of New Castle county in 1923, the duties of the court remained the same but the jurisdiction was expanded to include cases from Kent and Sussex County Justices of the Peace and Court of General Sessions.
In 1945 the New Castle Juvenile Court was abolished and replaced by the Family Court of New Castle County which was given expanded powers relating to juveniles and their families.

 Sunrise Highway (NY 27)
The original Sunrise Highway was constructed as a four-to-six lane, at-grade arterial highway from southern Queens east to Massapequa, Nassau County in the 1920's.

In the event that a person convicted under this section is the holder of any out-of-state driver's license, the court shall not collect the license but shall notify forthwith the director, who shall, in turn, notify appropriate officials in the licensing jurisdiction.
The Division of State Police, interstate law enforcement agencies and county law enforcement agencies shall be entitled to periodic grants from the fund in amounts representing their proportionate contribution to the fund.

The north-south expressway link between Philadelphia and the southern tip of New Jersey, which was to supplement the congested NJ 47, was also intended to serve the Vineland-Millville area.
