Chapter 88 of the Laws of 2003 permits the operation of these devices on public highways, sidewalks and bicycle paths of the state, subject to all the duties of a bicycle rider, with similar safety and equipment standards.
The State or the governing body of any county or municipality may prohibit or regulate their operation on any public highway under its jurisdiction." We have not yet seen any ordinances on this subject.

 Municipal Control of Signs January 2006
New York courts have held that municipalities may require the removal of nonconforming billboards and signs, after the expiration of an amortization period long enough to allow the sign owner to recoup his or her investment.
Additionally, Highway Law §88 provides that signs beyond 660 feet outside of urban areas and erected with the purpose of their message being read from Interstate or primary highways are prohibited A municipality may concurrently regulate signs regulated by the State only if the regulations are equal to or more restrictive than the State’s regulations.
The New York Attorney General has stated that it is impermissible for a municipality to permit the placement of private advertising signs on public property to be used for the sole purpose of private business advertising, since no benefit accrues to the municipality or the public.

 1953 New Jersey state highway renumbering - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
On January 1, 1953, the New Jersey Department of Transportation renumbered many of the State Routes.
A State Route that ended at a state border was renumbered to match the number assigned by the adjacent state.
New numbers assigned semi-arbitrarily included 15 and 20 (13-20 were not assigned in the 1927 renumbering), the sequence from 57 to 93, and 152 to 165 for minor routes (continuing from pre-renumbering 151).

Route 208 is a state highway in New Jersey, United States.
Its termini are at an intersection with Interstate 287 in Oakland, New Jersey and an intersection with Route 4 in Fair Lawn, New Jersey.
The highway has turnoffs in each direction for Utter Avenue in Hawthorne and passes beneath the New York, Susquehanna and Western Railway track prior to its interchange with Goffle Road.

The new arena would feature 88 to 100 luxury suites, compared to 29 at Continental Airlines arena which would be replaced in the deal.

In 1959, the highway was widened and a median installed on it from Leechburg Road to Melwood Road.
In 1992, it was determined that the roadway south of Centralia was beyond repair, and eventually the highway was closed in early 1994.
In 1955, the route was moved onto the new expressway from PA 481 to PA 88, from what is currently SR 2016 and Lincoln Avenue from PA 481 to Charleroi.

 Sunrise Highway (NY 27)
The original Sunrise Highway was constructed as a four-to-six lane, at-grade arterial highway from southern Queens east to Massapequa, Nassau County in the 1920's.
The highway, which carries the NY 27 designation, was extended to Great River, Suffolk County (in the area of Connetquot State Park) by 1940, and to Phyllis Drive in East Patchogue by 1953.
Proponents of a limited-access highway in the Hamptons refused to capitulate.

 Continental Airlines Arena
The New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority (NJSEA) hopes to keep the NHL Devils and NBA Nets in a venue in the Meadowlands, but if not, the Authority will move ahead with a plan for a retail and entertainment venue on the Continental Airlines Arena site.
Both the Nets and Devils have announced plans for new, separate venues while the NJSEA has its own proposal for a new arena.
The Meadowlands is also facing the potential loss of the Jets who are being courted by New York City and were recently put up for sale.

The City of New Philadelphia will pick the trees up curbside when contacted by residents.
