An Act abolishing the New Jersey Highway Authority, transferring its projects and functions to the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, altering or increasing certain powers of the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, supplementing and amending the body and title of P.L.1948, c.454 (C.27:23-1 et seq.) and revising various parts of the statutory law.
Towing and storage services on a highway project may be provided on a rotating basis, provided that the authority determines that there would be no additional cost to the authority, excepting administrative costs, as a result of those services being provided on a rotating basis.
The Legislature reaffirms that all existing facilities and property, and their operations, and management, of the authority and of the New Jersey Highway Authority, as transferred to the authority, are deemed public and essential governmental functions and are exempt from local taxes or assessments.

While the New Jersey Turnpike serves long-distance Interstate traffic bypassing the Philadelphia-Camden metropolitan area, I-295 serves the local traffic needs of Salem, Gloucester, Camden, Burlington and Mercer counties.
At its southern terminus, I-295 was to join with the New Jersey Turnpike, US 40 and the northern approach of the Delaware Memorial Bridge, over which I-295 continues southwest into Delaware.
From Logan Township north to Trenton, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the NJDOT classify the six-lane I-295 as an "urban Interstate." South of Logan Township, the four-lane I-295 is classified as a "rural Interstate."

The 3dis of I-78 in New York City do not count as I-78 officially enters New York (see 6.3.2) and those of I-95 in DC are also similarly excluded (see 12.2).

This was taken on I-90 West in Rotterdam, New York, soon after the opening of the I-890 bridge connecting Exit 26 and I-890 to New York 5.
When George Pataki became governor of New York, he didn't want to have his name put on all of the "Welcome to New York" signs, so many of them have a blank green strip at the bottom where Mario Cuomo (and other former governors) had their names.
This is the eastern terminus of New York 2 and the western terminus of Massachusetts 2.
