		Among the proposals New Trier's board is expected to vote on Monday night is one that would make a lunch period mandatory, and require students who come in an hour early for "early bird" classes to take a free period later in the day.

		today filed a lawsuit in Cook County Circuit Court on behalf of Neal Goss, the 15 year-old New Trier High School hockey player who was injured and paralyzed when he was sent crashing, headfirst, into the boards after the final buzzer had sounded at a game in Gurnee last month.
		Goss, a resident of Glencoe, was injured during a November 3, 1999 junior varsity game between his New Trier squad and the Glenbrook North High School team.
		The complaint alleges that Goss, the team's captain, was struck from behind by a 15 year-old Glenbrook North player as Goss skated back to the bench after the final buzzer had sounded.
