Westminster tube station on the London Underground serves the Circle, District and Jubilee lines.
During the station's redevelopment, a vast 39m (127ft) deep void was excavated underneath the old station to house the escalators, lifts and stairs to the deep-level Jubilee Line platforms.
The station was by far the most complex in terms of engineering of any of those on the Jubilee line and it was the last to open, just before Christmas 1999.

The Royal Avenue Pumping Station is located in New Westminster, B.C. This pumping station was upgraded and finished in the winter of 1995 by the Greater Vancouver Sewerage and Drainage District.
BKL's task was to design a pumping station that met the daytime Noise Bylaw requirements of 55 dBA for required testing of the emergency generator set, and that met the nighttime Noise Bylaw requirements of 45 dBA for the odour control and general station ventilation at the property lines, approximately 10m away.
Kerr Wood Leidal was the prime consultant for the station design; BKL Consultants Ltd. was retained to design the noise control for the emergency generator set, odour control, and general station ventilation.
