 | | I submit that if Clause 13(b) is left in its present form, those NEW Zealand Veterinarians that do not have any ethical predujices to tail docking could be put in a similar position to UK Veterinarians, by the NZVAand indeed many dogs will suffer the consequences of this action by an ill-informed few. |
 | | 2.5 The Northern Weimaraner Club maintains a library of articles and scientific papers on health and well being of the Breed much of which is not available to members through their Veterinarians who in the main are general practioners and not specialists in any one Breed. |
 | | There are still many Spingers worked inthe field in New Zealand and thus the original reason for docking still applies.Being a long coated dog with heavy feathering, particularly around the tail, health and hygeiene becomes a strong factor in keeping the modern Springer as a dock-tailed working dog or pet. |
