The New Zealand census was to be held on the 3 April 1881 and "similar information will be collected in all parts of the United Kingdom so that when the census returns are made known, a very close approximation will be made of the number reigned over by the Queen.
The New Zealand Collection at the Christchurch Library holds bound volumes of 1850s-70s Canterbury Provincial Council electoral rolls, and 1865-1957 parliamentary electoral rolls on microfilm, including the roll for the 1941 election which was deferred for two years because of World War II and oddments.

In 1866 was clerk of the lower house of the Oregon legislature; in 1867 removed to S. and formed a connection with Dewey and Co., publishers and patent solicitors, whose patent agency he managed for eleven years.
The bill did not pass, but at the next session a general law was adopted, amending that of the 1851, so as to allow the admission to the bar, not only of citizens, but those who had declared their intention to become such.
In 1866, when he was but twenty-two years old, he was the candidate of his party for Supervisor from the Ninth Ward and was defeated by A. Shrader; was a member of the Assembly at the session of 1875-76; died in S. F., May 2, 1888.

Get the government out of the business of marrying people and religion in general, they have no place there except for taxation reasons (currently you need a marriage license anyway from the gov't so this should represent minimal overhead) and it really shouldn't matter to them what the economic unit is called.
As I said, the law is a great teacher and decline and social collapse in Canada in a generation or two is not out of the question if the Government ignores the need to keep the most fundamental social guardrail in place.
lol, he better allow a free vote, he may have a revolt on his hands if he doesn't, never mind the fact that the libs will be very hard pressed to win another election if he doesn't, hell they will probably have a hard time even if he does allow a free vote.
