I was responsible for a methodological study to test methods for measuring the extent and the value of unpaid work, the implementation of the Government policy on the Early Childhood Education Policy, as well as, materially assisting in the development of our employment equity policy and legislation, against a considerable amount of opposition.
As New Zealand's first Minister of Consumer Affairs, I was responsible for setting up a new ministry and promulgating a new consumer legislation that has proved to be both durable and effective in creating a fairer marketplace.

 Your View: Tories plan December vote on same-sex marriage
That is during the General election in addition to voting for an MP, we should also vote for this issue.
I beleive that a gov't has the right to define a social union for tax benifits, legal responsibility, etc for same sex unions, however the gov't does not have the right to change what marriage is, and that is a man and woman united as one flesh with the blessings of children.
This issue has nothing new to bring to the table, people are just going to throw the bible out there again and again, forgetting that different religions don't even use it and disrespecting their beliefs, and that different religions have different interpretations of the bible (the United Church support same-sex marriage).
