		NewOS is by an old BeOS developer and Syllable also seems to have some relation (that I am unsure of) to the BeOS/AtheOS camp.

		You should take a look at the code for NewOS but I should have been more explicit, it is just a kernel - albeit the original base for the doomed OpenBeos project.

		March 12th, 2003, 03:55 AM I was thinking, if newos has no Filesystem to parahps use MySQL as the Filesystem, port it so it works in the kernel, directly and efficently.
		MySQL is more efficent then MS-SQL, or postgres, and since I know a bit about its future its a fucking brilliant idea, personally Hurd seems much better for this kind of filesystem with the way it works with deamons.

		After ex-Be engineer Brian Swetland's OpenBLT, Travis Geiselbrecht, a Be kernel engineer until just a few weeks ago, put online his personal OS project, NewOS.
		The OS is still under heavy development stages, but it already boots in a number of platforms and it has implemented features such as multiprocessesing, multithreading, protected memory etc. Travis is developing and building his OS under BeOS and he would love some input from fellow system software developers.
