Newark Liberty International Airport, operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, is extraordinarily accessible, located less than three miles from the heart of downtown.
Newark Airport serves more passengers than any other airport in the New York metropolitan region, including JFK - more than 33 million in a recent year with 44 million anticipated in just a few years - and it is also a major hub for the shipment of air freight.
Airport traffic, coupled with the city's proximity to New York, contributes to making Newark one of the highest occupancy hotel markets in the country.
