		Newcastle United supporters are known as the "Toon Army" or the "Geordies" due to the area the team is based in which holds the majority of the clubs' supporters.
		Newcastle United then went on to lift the League Championship on three occasions, 1905, 1907 and 1909, although the 1908-09 season also saw them record what is still a record home defeat in the top flight of English football, 9-1 to rivals Sunderland, who count the result as their record win.
		Newcastle's longest-running and deepest rivalry is with their nearest major neighbour, Sunderland, colloquially known as "The Mackems" (a term used by Geordies and Mackems alike and coined in the shipyards from the way Wearsiders pronounce the phrase "make them and take them", referring to the ships built on the Wear).

	Skate Newcastle : Technical Group
		Following this meeting, Newcastle City Council engaged a consultant, Clive Bowman, to work closely with the 'users' to come up with a design that they were happy with and that could be used by the majority of wheeled enthusiasts.
		Clive came to Newcastle on the 12th April and spent the day at the Civic Centre with a number of people designing the SK8 park that will be built later this year.
		Clive and the group met again in May, June and July before agreeing the final design to be built.
