Newport Chamber of Commerce is one of a network of Chambers throughout Shropshire, the Midlands and the UK.
The Chamber is a core partner in the Newport Economic Partnership which brings together representatives of business, commerce, education and local government to work together for the benefit of the town and the area.
Members and Visitors are welcome to the monthly meeting of the Newport Chamber of Commerce which is held at the Royal Victoria Hotel, Newport on the third Monday of the month at 7:30 pm.

Newport is one of Shropshire's picturesque market towns, located 10 miles from Telford on the Shropshire/Staffordshire border between two streams, River Meece and the Strine Brook, both tributaries of the River Tern.
Newport has a few famous connections, firstly Thomas Brown (1663 - 1704), the irreverent satirist is thought to have been born in Newport and was educated at Adams Grammar school, founded in 1665.

However, the Harleian Society has published the Shropshire Visitation of the year 1623 based on several manuscript copies, with additions from the two earlier ones of 1569 and 1584.
It is significant that the Coat of Arms as described, and as used by the Newport branch of the Benbows for generations, is extremely close to that used by Admiral Benbow on the Alms dish.
In addition, the Newport Benbow Arms bears a striking resemblance to the Medieval Arms found on a Kirton (Crediton) Church window in Devonshire.
