		Newport County is one of five counties located in the state of Rhode Island.
		As of 2000, the population of Newport County is 85,433.
		In the county, the population is spread out with 22.50% under the age of 18, 8.40% from 18 to 24, 29.90% from 25 to 44, 24.80% from 45 to 64, and 14.40% who are 65 years of age or older.
