Newport Gwent Dragons snatched victory in the final seconds of this fragmented Magners League game at Rodney Parade with a try from on-loan wing Richard Mustoe that provided coach Paul Turner with the perfect start to the New Year.
With time running out and the Dragons desperate to at least snatch a share of the spoils, the ball was worked quickly to wing Mustoe who dashed in at the corner in the game's final piece of action.

Obviously as a Newport fan I would have preferred Newport to have remained as the name but that is water under the bridge now and I think we have to stick with the NGD name.
Before the regional set up Newport were getting between 6- 8 thousand average crowds, so from an economic viewpoint of the Dragons are ever to be a success, it makes sense to try and encourage the Newport fans (as well as fans from the rest of Gwent) to matches.
It's also funny how people outsde of Newport comment on the Gwent Dragons but didn't want to support it at all (I think 10 season tickets were sold under this name.) It required the Newport fans to bail out the Dragons.
