A Simple News Trade   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-14)
Given that plenty of news items are scheduled for release at set times, it stands to reason that we should be able to trade those reactions.
Here is a simple but very effective way to trade the news - it can be tailored to an individual trader's style and risk profile as required.
There is one caveat to this trade: if the initial 15 minute bar at the time of the news release moves a long way in one direction very quickly (more than 100 pips, say), we would walk away and leave the trade - it's already made the move and further follow through is unlikely.
