Nathan, born 1760, graduated at the University of Pennsylvania in 1783, was licensed to preach in 1786 and installed at Forks of Brandywine in 1787.
The township was surveyed and laid out sommetime during the year and the boundries returned were about the same as at present.

Charles Twining EASTBURN was born and reared on the old homestead in Newtown township, and acquired his education at the public schools and at Friends' Central School at Fifteenth and Race streets, Philadelphia, and Stewart's Business College at Trenton, New Jersey, leaving the latter February 28, 1892.
EASTBURN married, January 8, 1903, Margaret B. daughter of Theodore F. and Emma B., of Langhorne, Bucks county, Pennsylvania, and they are the parents of one child, Sarah P., born June 17, 1904.
