Jones was a farmer and merchant, born in Madison county, Kentucky, in 1795 and died in 1846, being of English and Welsh extraction.

The surficial mapping used for Nez Perce County was from STATEMAP projects in the western and central parts of the county near the city of Lewiston and along the U.S. Highway 12 corridor.
Idaho counties vary in their capability and willingness to incorporate geologic mapping and geotechnical interpretations into their planning, zoning, and permitting procedures.
The successful collaboration between the Idaho Survey and Nez Perce County is, however, serving as a model for increased utilization of geologic mapping elsewhere in Idaho.

Charles S. was born in Ada county, Idaho, on June 23, 1876, being the son of William A. and Malinda (Voding) Ingle, natives respectively of Arkansas and Missouri.
The parents came west and permanently located in Nez Perces county where they are living now, and here our subject received his early education in the district schools, later attending the Genesee schools and the Lewiston high school, where he graduated in 1897.

Once known as the Lewis River, the Snake originates near the Continental Divide in Yellowstone National Park in NW Wyoming and flows south to Jackson Lake in Grand Teton National Park and past the city of Jackson.
The river enters Idaho at the Palisades Reservoir and joins with the Henrys Fork River near Rigby.
In doing so it passes through the city of Idaho Falls and the American Falls Reservor and then past Twin Falls and Boise to the Idaho/Oregon border.

The Lewiston Downtown Business Association asked if the Nez Perce County 4-H Clubs would volunteer during the first week of April to weed flowerbeds, plant flowers, and pick-up trash.
Eighty-five Nez Perce County 4-H members, eleven 4-H parents and eleven 4-H leaders participated in the four day event.
A survey was administered to downtown business associates asking what they knew of 4-H, did they enjoy the experience of working with 4-H'ers, was the program a benefit to the community, and if they would like to see more youth involvement of this type.
