Nganasan language, also known as the Tavgy, Tavgi, Tawgi, Tawgi-Samoyed language (Нганасанский язык, or Тавгийский, Тавгийско-самоедский язык in Russian) is a language of the Nganasan people.
The Nganasan language belongs to the northern Samoyedic group of the Uralic language family.
Phonetic features of the Nganasan language include 18 vowel and 20 consonant phonemes and an abundance of diphthongs.

 Hunters: The people of Siberia
The KHANTS (Ostyaks, Ob Ostyaks) are comprised of 23,000 people who speak the Khant language of the Finno-Ugrian group of the Uralic language family and live in the regions of the Ob and Irtysh Rivers and their tributaries, within the range of the Khants-Mansi and Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Districts.
The CHUKCHIS (Luoravetlan) consist of 15,000 people who speak the Chukchi language of the Chukchi-Kamchatka (Paleoasiatic) language family and live in northeastern Russia, within the boundaries of the Chukchi Autonomous District of the Magadan region, north of the Koryak Autonomous District of the Nizhnekolymskii (lower Kolyma) region of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
They speak the Yakutian language of the Turkic group of the Altaic language family and live mostly in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), with lesser numbers residing in the Krasnoyarsk and Khabarovsk regions, the Evenk Autonomous District, and the former Soviet Republics.

The Avam Nganasans live in the Avam District in the western part of the Taymyr Peninsula, in the valleys of the rivers Pyassina, Dudypta and Boganida.
In the past it was common that a Nganasan would be familiar with the language of the Dolgans, the Evenks or the Nenets (and vice versa) but since the 1950s Russian has developed as the lingua franca.
It was not until the early 17th century that tradesmen and officers of the Tsar Mikhail reached the land of the Nganasans.

The northernmost Nganasan seem to have preserved the greatest percentage of pre-Samoyedic genes (in their case, perhaps related to the Yukagir).
The Nganasan (which means "human being") also call themselves Nya; in tsarist times they were known as Tawgi (or Tavgi), or Awam Samoyed, from the name of one of the most prominent clans, Awgi.
Nganasan legends tell that their ancestors stayed in the tundra all year and hunted sea animals and fish (these legends are probably the heritage of the pre-Samoyedic component of the Nganasan ethnos).

I move that their languages be included in your lists & other categorizations (no matter the complications this may bring to linguistic description & theory & whatever).
The only Gurage language we currently have is Soddo language, which belongs to neither of those.
I propose that (at least) any Y and Z languages that have wikipedia pages should be included here with the complete list; we would then change the text that reads "only some major languages are included here" to "languages with wikipedia pages are included here" or something similar.

 THE ENETS
The Enets language belongs to the northern group of the Samoyed languages, part of the Uralic family of languages.
In the Dudinka district, the Enets have lived side by side with the Nganasans and the Nenets, and in the Ust-Yenisey district, alone with the Nenets.
Words connected with hunting have been borrowed from the Nganasan language, and terms concerned with reindeer rearing have been taken from Nenets.
