Niavaran Palace Complex is situated in the northern part of Tehran, Iran.
The Sahebqraniyeh Palace from the time of Nasir al-Din Shah of Qajar dynasty is also inside this complex.
The Niavaran Palace was the primary residence of the last Shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and the Imperial family until the Iranian Revolution.

It was through a discreet smaller entrance that the Shah, the Shahbanou and the Crown Prince entered the palace complex, to rest for a few minutes in the blue tent that had been mounted in the gardens.
