In peak times, this area of the town is very crowded, so you're best to leave your car elsewhere before or at the lawsons and walk the remaining 5 minutes.
These fill-size replicas of the statues from Easter Island are quite the attraction in this area, and the highway in this regeion runs along the 'Nichinan Coastline', which offers many amazing views.
When I visited in May '06, this spring was closed.
