		Stanescu’s imagery of winter takes me back to the rolling hills of West Virginia during winter.
		Even better is “the distant, icy smell of the suns.” This perfectly describes the pure air that seems to reverberate off of the chilling air itself during winter; the purity of the air seems to match the pure whiteness of the endless landscapes.
		Stanescu masterfully depicts true love in this poem, specifically the truth of love that undoubtedly all have faced.

		In Nichita Stanescu's poem, "Of Love," he portrays a woman who holds his deepest affection and infatuation.
		Stanescu says, "...her bright hand for ages now has forgotten me,- and for ages too has forgotten itself..." He has the hand signifying the heart, meaning the womans heart is led by her hand, and her hand by her mind.
		Stanescu is the weeping eye, the weeping soul and the weeping hand.
