Guest was born in New York City, the son of English-born 4th Baron Haden-Guest, and onetime CBS-executive, Jean Pauline Hindes ([1]), a Jewish American.
Guest became the 5th Baron Haden-Guest, of Saling in the County of Essex, when his father died in 1996.
As Guest's children are adopted, they cannot inherit his Barony under the terms of the letters patent that created it.

Nicholas Lea (born June 22, 1962 as Nicholas Christopher Schroeder after his parent's divorce, he was raised as Nicholas Christopher Herbert) is a well-known Canadian actor best known for his work on The X-Files playing Alex Krycek.
The producers were impressed by his performance and when, in the second season, he auditioned for the role of turncoat FBI agent Alex Krycek, he was successful.
Lea guest starred in eleven episodes from 1994 to 1996 and became a popular character amongst the fans.

Nicholas McGegan was active as a flutist, harpsichordist, fortepianist, and pianist in London, where he was also professor of Baroque flute (1973-1979) and music history (1975-1979) and director of early music (1973-1980) at the Royal College of Music.
From 1992- 1998, Nicholas McGegan was Principal Guest Conductor at Scottish Opera, and he was Principal Conductor at Sweden’s Drottningholm Theatre from 1993-1995, during which time he conducted his own edition of Philidor’s Tom Jones in conjunction with radio and television broadcasts.
Nicholas McGegan is on the advisory boards of the Maryland Händel Festival and London’s Händel House.
