	Nick Kent - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Nick Kent (born December 24, 1951) is a British rock critic.
		Kent´s best work tries to explain from a cynical point of view the lifes of rock and roll musicians that risked their sanity and personal health in order to make their art.
		His style, dirty and cold as Chandler`s, vibrates with images of self destruction and ultimate compassion that trascend the “rock criticism” tag, exploring the tragedy of being a true artist in the late twentieth century.

		Nick Kent was one of Britain's most renowned and, sometimes, notorious rock journalists in the '70s, when he was a regular contributor to -New Musical Express.
		Kent perhaps got a little too involved in the lifestyle of the musicians he was covering, and by the mid '70s had enough problems with hard drugs that it was adversely affecting his writing and career.
		Kent met the Sex Pistols and has written that he helped redirect their interests from the Small Faces and '60s pop oldies to pre-punkers like the Stooges and Modern Lovers.
