As you know, Nielsen has been under attack from a group called Don’t Count Us Out, funded by News Corp./Fox because of Fox’s displeasure with some of the preliminary ratings drops they experienced when we started measuring a few local markets with Local People Meters.
Fox was able to convince the Communications Subcommittee of the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee to hold hearings on Nielsen on July 15 where I testified (see www.everyonecounts.tv for my testimony).
Since we employ people all over the country, you could be helpful by writing to your members of Congress as a Nielsen employee and telling our side of the story and why government regulation is not the answer.
