  Nietzche's Complex View of Freedom
Nietzche presents a complex, seemingly incoherent presentation of the value and feasibility of human freedom in Twilight of the Idols, V, 3 and The Genealogy of Morals I, 13.
Nietzche is once again challenging results stemming from the fundamental errors of traditional thought: that it is possible to separate the essence of strength in a man from actual acts of strength.
Nietzche clearly believes freedom of the will and the peace of soul as most understand it are simply impossible or pointless, but that a different, war-like conception of freedom that entail strength, an embracing of war, and a rejection of the metaphysical Christian world-view is something to aspire to.

Like the traditional Antichrist, Nietzche declares war on the work of theologians (section 9, 13), who are the servants of the priest class and who employ civil power to defend their privileges.
Nietzche dismantles the Genesis myth of the Fall of Man upon which the priest class builds and perpetuates its fraudulent "redemption" of humans.
Finally, Nietzche is another in a long line of Western philosophers and religious or social critics (going back to Socrates in Athens and Jesus in Jerusalem) who tell people, especially people in authority, what they don't want to hear.

Nietzche was an early fan of Schopenhauer, but later rebuked him, saying that Schopenhauer understood Dionysus, but lacked the courage to accept the Apollonian direction of the cosmic will.
Nietzche saw himself as an undaunted version of Schopenhauer, who was dragged down by the concept of eternal recurrence - the idea that everything that has happened will happen again and again.

Friedrich Nietzche is a philosopher who has influenced everyone from Adolph Hitler to the Columbine killers.
Nietzche's major criticism of Christianity was that it suffers from an absence, even a rejection, of "life force." The God Nietzche chose was Dionysius, a strong pagan expression of life force.
Nietzche's own philosophy placed an emphasis on the "superman" along with a denigration of women.

Nietzche is mostly known for his work: Thus Spake Zarathustra, where he declared the Christian idea of God as being dead.
Nietzche's philosophy is called Existentialism, which however, is a philosophy more ppularly known through the French philosopher Jean Paul Sartre.
Nietzche and Sartre both believe that there is no absolute morality, and do not believe that we should blindly accept any so called universal code of conduct or traditional morality thought to be based on rationality.

To Nietzche, the “Ubermensch” or “superman” is an extraordinary individual who lives purely by the will to power.
Nietzche believed that it would be braver, more honest, and nobler to cut loose and dare live in a world without morality.
Nietzche theorized that since we are afraid to live by the strength by our own wills; we invent morality as a way of generating and then explaining our perpetual sense of being defeated in life.

They borrow this self-reliance spirit of daring to be true to oneself as an intellectual tool against all controlling Confucianism.

Actually, I wrote something similar, but it was for his "superman" concept, not Nietzche himself, sadly I lost it.
I have a little beef with Nietzche himself, primarily because of his flat-out rejection of christianity (especially since modern christianity essentially espouses many of the ideas which he did, at least catholicism, but that's a different matter), but many of his ideals I always found very interesting.
Actually, it's easy to see why many would have a beef with Nietzche, and why most flat out refuse to support the validity of his works, going for more gentle philosophers.

The over-man,the future man who will accept his destiny [and Nietzche believed he was a precursor,"A Stranger In A Strange Land"] will show concern for his fellow man but from a position of power and self confidence.
It is Nietzche`s belief that the "love for fellow man" so universally accepted as a basic pattern necessity of life is merely a projection of man`s fear of being hurt.
And while Nietzche is definitely an interesting read, I dare say he needed to get laid more often.

Supporting Nietzche’s Views of Morality “Morality is merely an interpretation of certain phenomena, more precisely a misinterpretation.” (33,1) Friedrich Nietzche’s Twilight of the Idols is a ‘radical’ perspective that evaluates the European conception of morality.
His affirmation of the ‘will to life’ and natural instincts directly contradicts the accepted beliefs of what man has created to be right or wrong (the idols) by the open denial of what comes easy and natural.
Nietzche answers this by saying that man searches to give nearly everything responsibility or a name for motivation.
