	IJsbreken en ijsdammen in de Biesbosch (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-09)
		Om 9.50 uur opgevaren naar de Beneden Merwede en begonnen bij de Sliedrechtse brug om 10.30 uur daar een gedeelte van ongeveer 1 km boven de brug van de linkeroeverzoom overgezakt was naar de rechteroever.
		Doorgevaren om 10.45 uur de Beneden Merwede op tot kmr 967 en daar begonnen met breken om 11.15 uur en doorgebroken tot Hardinxveld en daar de Beneden Merwede toen open was en dik van de mist is er te Werkendam gemeerd om 18.30 uur.
		De Nieuwe Merwede was ongeveer voor de helft bedekt met drijfijs, bij het huis den Deen werd het overdekt maar alles was drijvende.

	Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie (New Dutch Inundation Line) - UNESCO World Heritage Centre
		The Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie was built in the course of various building projects (18151824, 1840-1860, 1867-1870, 1871-1881) between 1815 and 1885.
		It was a 3 to 5 kilometre wide inundation zone stretching approximately 70 kilometres from Muiden (situated on the Zuiderzee, currently IJsselmeer), past the city of Utrecht towards the east, down to the large river district (the Nieuwe Merwede) and the Biesbosch.
		Up until 1940 it was the main defence line of the Dutch defence system aimed at defending the western part of the country against any attacks coming from the east and the south.

		The Boven Merwede is a stretch of river in the Netherlands.
