Niklaus Aeschbacher (April 30, 1917 - November 30, 1995) was a Swiss conductor.
Born in Trogen in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden as the son of Carl Aeschbacher, he studied music in Zürich and Berlin.
After a post as conductor in Berne he became the chief conductor of the NHK Symphony Orchestra in Tokyo in 1954.

Nach der Matura (Zürich 1936) bildete er sich musikalisch am Konservatorium Zürich sowie an der Hochschule für Musik in Berlin aus.
Niklaus Aeschbachers - eher schmales - kompositorisches Werk ist grösstenteils zwischen 1930 und 1950 entstanden und umfasst zur Hauptsache dramatische Musik: Die roten Schuhe, Radio-Oper (Radio Zürich, Chalandamarz Tanzspiel nach Bündner Märchenmotiven 1940), Regula Engel Hörspielmusik zum gleichnamigen Hörspiel von A. Rösler (Radio Zürich).
