	Nikolaos Plastiras
		Nikolaos Plastiras (Greek Νικόλαος Πλαστήρας)(November 4, 1883 - July 26, 1953) was a general of the Greek army.
		Plastiras, persecuted during the Pangalos dictatorship, attempted to lead a coup in March 1933, after the anti-Venizelists won the elections, but facing universal reaction (even from Venizelos himself), he was forced to flee abroad.
		Plastiras attempted to tread a middle path between the British, who were supporting the returned government-in-exile and the return of King George II, and the democratic-leftist guerilla of the EAM/ELAS.

		October 12, the military government set up a special court martial in parliament for a swift trial of eight politicians and officers on charges of high treason.
		The trial took place in the second half of November, culminating in the conviction and execution of six of the accused and a life sentence for the other two.
		On 16 December 1923, Plastiras' government stepped down for the country to revert to civilian rule.
