		According to Nissan, the console facing the rear passengers is supposed to emulate the front console which we're guessing means radio and HVAC controls.
		Nissan's obvious aim is to at least differentiate the Maxima apart from the similar power train equipped Altima 3.5 V-6 with a higher price ceiling and of course the aforementioned amenities.

		Perhaps the Maxima isn't as special as it was a few years ago but look in the right places and it still has advantages over the new Altima.

		I have difficulties in identifying the circuits related to 2 engine compartment fuses burnt on a Nissan Maxima 2000 GLE because I can't read the indication on the cover.
		A: I have seen this on several nissans maximas and altimas it is the starter winding down.
		Nissan did finally reset it (they found no faulty parts) as my wife took it in about a week later.
