	Nissan Bluebird - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		The Bluebird sold in Europe between 1986 and 1990 was in fact a rebadged Nissan Auster—this was replaced by the Primera in Nissan's European line-up in 1990.
		Although Nissan's own materials indicate that the Bluebird name emerged in 1959, some records show that the name first adorned a 988 cm³, 34 hp four-door sedan in 1957, which was part of the company's 210 series.
		This model was sold as the Nissan Pintara in Australia, replacing a larger Skyline-based model, from 1989 to 1993.

		However to get it to work, you will need to alter some brackets, plus change to a one wire setup...basically you will lose your alt warning light in the dash, which isnt really a problem.
		I suggest you check www.hybridz.org, there is a fair bit of info there on alternator upgrades.
		Not specific to Pintara obviously, but the Pintara and Z alternators are interchangable, so same principle.

		Every pintara i've worked on has been leaking oil from everywhere and generally not aging well at all.
		alas a large problem with the pintara ca20e being slow these days is due to abuse, and well there arn't really that slow for a 2lt single cam, so yeah there a ok engine but not nerly a powerplant or anyhting like that.
		The bottom line- pintaras including the trx variant r getting old and most of them r in horrible oil leaking timing chain rattling condition.

		I originally thought Baug warner t5 box came standard, but a mechanic recently informed me that this was incorrect, and that there was a standard factory baug warner 5spd in them.
		Pretty much all the small nissan 5spds are the same internally, so if you have a bell housing any will do the job, but ratios and gear strengths vairy.
		Or a R31 skyline (not pintara) is identical.

		I had my dad's pintara doing 1 wheeler donuts in 3rd, smoke everywhere, and that's with a cracked head sealed with "chem-i-weld".

		I know this is way off topic, but by chance, does anyone know where to find the fuel pump relay on a 1991 nissan pintara.
		None of the relays in the engine bay are labelled (even on the relay box plastic cover) and it is too hard to pinpoint the one that clicks on and off.
		If anyone has a pintara around the same year ('91) would they mind looking in the owners manual to see where the relay is, or better still, if they could scan and email the page in the owners manual that shows what each relay is for?

		Our car is, I believe, the same as a Nissan Stanza back in Canada.
		The problem itself I would imagine would be fairly universal, one cylinder being sketchy for some reason - happens to numerous types of cars...
		Also - more advice to ensure your pintara doesn't die...change your oil pump, pintara's have a nasty habit of leaking ALOT of oil, faulty factory pump - replace that and you shouldn't leak oil (if you are) anymore.....unless it's happened already.
