		My XTrail has a service interval of 12,000 miles, after about 6,000 miles mine started to make more and more engine noise and felt generally rough so I had it serviced at 9,000 miles and all seemed quieter and as refined as a Nissan diesel can be for the next 6,000 miles or so.....

		The landrover 90 costs £30,000 compared to £14000 for the nissan and they are much more reliable.
