No Border network -- Facts, Info, and Encyclopedia article   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-07)
This network is different from lobbying groups and NGOs because it is based on groups of grass root activists and intends to stay so.
The aim of these camps is to act against the border regime which allows for the deportation and sending back of migrants; they are also an opportunity to create relations between vaious groups through debates and cultural and festive activities.
This particular approach to coordinate actions as an expression of a fundamental criticism of migratory policies is a major issue in the no border project.

La Lutta Programs   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-07)
As in previous years, the border camp was organized by Kein Mensch Ist Illegal, or No One Is Illegal, a broad coalition of groups that formed in 1997 to fight deportation and support immigrants and refugees in Germany.
Since March 2000 the No One Is Illegal network has focused its energies on its "Deportation.Class" campaign, which is designed to raise public awareness about forced deportations and pressure commercial airlines that make money off of what it calls the "deportation business" to refuse to transport passengers who are flying involuntarily.
Their goal was to both protest the border police's policy of random passport inspection, and to criticize the German Rail's new advertising campaign, "Service-Cleanliness-Safety," which has been accompanied by increased crackdowns against homeless people, prostitutes and drug addicts who use train stations for shelter and as meeting points.

No Border No Nation Action Camp Strasbourg
It is the most recent in a series of border camps (action camps) organised in recent years by this European network of refugee solidarity groups mainly dedicated to illegal immigrants and refugees who have exhausted all legal possibilities.
But as no one was being held there are the time - apparently the refugees were transferred before the start of the No Border camp, of which No Border was aware - the demonstration did not proceed to this destination.
All the more remarkable as there were no concrete indications for a police raid and given the situation in the camp (2000 people in tense, a large number of trucks and motor vehicles, and the dimension and location of the area) a police raid seemed highly unlikely.

Immigration - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The countries now permit immigration in particular circumstances, e.g., to fill jobs where a skill is not available locally, for wealthy investors or business leaders, in cases of marriage, multiple citizenship or asylum, or under multilateral agreements such as within the European Union or between New Zealand and Australia.
The trend is towards the closing of borders of countries that traditionally welcomed immigrants (the US, Canada, Australia for example), and an opening of borders in countries that were once homogeneous (Germany, the UK for example).
Likewise, there are anarchists who believe national borders are not legitimate to begin with.

There are also no external requirements; no "border routers", no requirement that administrators apply specific restrictions to their network designs, define special tables, or add things to the DNS.
Networks and end user organizations operate under sufficient constraints on deployment of systems anyway; they do not need a new network architecture adding to the difficulty.
The design is a balance between use on high performance networks and routers, and a desire to minimize the number of bits in the fixed header.
