No contest (boxing) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
No contest is a technical term used in the sport of boxing, to describe a fight which ends for reasons outside the fighters' hands.
Various reasons could be used for a fight to be ruled a no contest, but the rules that dictate whether a fight should be called a no contest, a disqualification win for one of the boxers, or a knockout win for one of the boxers differ from country to country.
Since boxing is now lawful almost everywhere in the world, the number of fights called no-contest has decreased dramatically since the beginnings of the 20th century.

Bout Review USA : OCTAGONSIDE - No Contest!!
Having always targeted professional boxing as their rival in terms of being a major sport in this country, I am actually puzzled and almost disturbed with Zuffa's decision of crowning a new heavyweight champion instead of calling the title fight a "no contest."
Even though some called it "extremely unclear" I thought it was very fair and courageous of Zuffa (or the official judges) to not crown a champion at the UFC lightweight tournament final last year because neither B.J. Penn nor Caol Uno had a decisive advantage but this time, I wonder.
In K-1, no contest is "applicable when both fighters are judged as not being able to continue the match due to an accidental injury of neither fighter's fault in a one-match fight, where the fight is not justified."
