Nobuhiko Takada was perhaps one of the most technically sound wrestlers that ever graced the wrestling ring.
Takada started in New Japan, but he soon moved on to the UWF with Akira Maeda, where he learned how to shoot fight and to wrestle in a worked shoot fight style.
Takada was not satisfied with New Japan however and soon he departed with Maeda to the new UWF, where the shoot style of wrestling was born.

Takada, being in his 30's at the time of his debut and in less than perfect conditioning, owing to the grueling Japanese pro wrestling circuit, posed little challenge for the experienced, well conditioned mixed martial arts fighters.
Nobuhiko Takada would then go on to draw the likes of Mike Bernardo and Mirko Filipović before entering his final match against former student, Kiyoshi Tamura (Tamura won by a KO).
Though Takada was originally bought in to attract fans, the show of strength and resilience against the likes of Rickson Gracie, Mirko Filipović and Royce Gracie and the win over Mark Coleman, even after the age and condition disadvantage established to some his legendary status in mixed martial arts history.

Takada was awesome in this match though and that combined with a great atmosphere were the keys to this being great.
This was hardly all Takada, in fact Maeda was the one that seemed to be dictating the flow of the match.

Albright will be remembered for his brutal array of suplexes and his matches with Takada and Kawada, but it is worth noting that he became an accomplished all around wrestler during his four years in UWFi.
