		Nok Air, a new low cost airline registered under Sky Asia Co., a joint venture between public and private investors, and partly owned by Thai Airways International, took to the crowded skies on July 23, 2004.
		Nok Air’s CEO Patee Sarasin argues that he leads an airline that is different to the standard no-frills airlines.
		Nok Air’s cheapest fare on the Chiang Mai route is 598 baht for a mid-week, low-peak flight available on approximately 20% of the 149 seats.

		I travel Nok Plus (their Business Class) for a 500 baht premium over the economy fare which is money well spent for the extra legroom.
		Nok Air is a no frills carrier and as such only offers basic service on board but considering the fact that they use Thai Airways material for half of the price makes them a very strong contender on the short range sector.
		I was using Nok Air for my flight between Bangkok and Chiang Mai roundtrip and must say that the service is excellent.

		I also wanted to book tickets from bkk to phuket on nok air, as it seemed to offer the best deal out of all other airlines, and right after everything is done on the booking form, you get this message saying overseas credit cards are not accepted....oh bummer...
		I called them up and a very polite operator told me that i needed to send my details on a fax...i couldn't understand what she was saying so i just thought, this is too much of a hassle, so i found fly12go and got tickets from there instead.

		A) Nok Air fleet of B737-400 are leased from Thai Airways and are also currently maintained by them (Thai Airways Technical).
		Nok Plus isn't worth its extra cost and if you plan to check more baggage the surcharge is very minimal (60Baht a kilo or something).
		Nok Air, and other LCCs are not known for flexibility in changing/refunding tickets, especially if you want to do so at the last minute.
