  Nonane
Before a worker is placed in a job with a potential for exposure to nonane, a licensed health care professional should evaluate and document the worker's baseline health status with thorough medical, environmental, and occupational histories, a physical examination, and physiologic and laboratory tests appropriate for the anticipated occupational risks.
Nonane should be stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area in tightly sealed containers that are labeled in accordance with OSHA's Hazard Communication Standard [29 CFR 1910.1200].
Nonane is not subject to EPA emergency planning requirements under the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA) (Title III) in 42 USC 11022.

The series of our experimental data on nonane nucleation in the methane carrier gas are shown in the figure below, in the form of nucleation isotherms.
A possible explanation is that with increasing pressure the methane molecules start to interact with nonane clusters, and so influence the nucleation process by changing the work of cluster formation.
Nucleation rate of nonane as a function of the supersaturation, for various methane carrier gas pressures.

The predicted nucleation rates resemble qualitatively the experimental results for low n-nonane gas phase activity.
On the high nonane activity side the theoretical nucleation rates are about three orders of magnitude lower than the experimental data when using the CNT with the approximate kinetics.
The accurate kinetics improves the situation by reducing the difference between theory and experiments to two orders of magnitude.
