  The Nonsuch Park Hotel, Ewell, Epsom, Surrey, UK - The Nonsuch Park.
Nonsuch passed in and out of royal hands through the 17th century and was eventually broken up to be incorporated into new buildings.
It stood on the west side of Nonsuch Park and is often confused with Nonsuch Mansion on the east side of the park.
The overall plan of Nonsuch Palace was not untypical of a large house of the period, despite the unique nature of the building.

Described as a Gentleman's Residence, Nonsuch was one of the very original houses in the Cornelian Bay and New Town area, which was itself the first suburb of Hobart (see a page on the history of Hobart).
Nonsuch sat on one of the major approach roads into Hobart, thus the toll house, and there would have been the constant traffic of carts carrying produce from the gardens and farms of the Cornelian Bay and New Town area into growing Hobart Town.
Nonsuch sits on the rise of Nanny Goat Hill overlooking Cornelian and New Town Bays, and facing north towards Mount Direction.

 Nonsuch
Nonsuch, an armed schooner, was built in 1812 in Baltimore, Md. Her owner, George Stiles and Company, requested a commission for Nonsuch as a letter of marque 29 June 1812.
Nonsuch fought these two ships for three hours in an extremely furious battle, causing great confusion and killing or wounding a considerable number of the enemy.
In 1819, she, with frigates John Adams and Constellation, sailed in a squadron under Captain Oliver Hazard Perry, the hero of Lake Erie, for the Orinoco River, Venezuela, arriving 15 July to discourage piracy while still maintaining friendly relations with Venezuela and the Republic of Buenos Aires.

Nonsuch Island is a crescent-shaped island in the entrance to Castle Harbour.
The excavation of two artificial ponds in the late 1970s, and their establishment as freshwater and saltwater marshes, meant that the six major habitats with their individual flora are all represented on the island: rocky coast, coastal hillside, marshes, upland forest and beach dune.
The lessons of Nonsuch may be applied to other parts of the world which have been destroyed by natural disaster, or by the carelessness of man. As David Wingate has shown, you can turn the clock back by understanding nature and then working with it rather than against it.
