Noosphere - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In the original theory of Vernadsky, the noosphere is the third in a succession of phases of development of the Earth, after the geosphere (inanimate matter) and the biosphere (biological life).
This is the view proposed by the theologian Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, who added that the noosphere is evolving towards an ever greater integration, culminating in the Omega Point—which he saw as the ultimate goal of history.
The noosphere concept of 'unification' was elaborated in popular science fiction by Julian May in the Galactic Milieu Series.

The noosphere is the outermost of the series of planetary spheres or “caps.” These planetary spheres can be considered either as insulators and/or cosmic bio-electrical transduction facilitators which increase in etheric quality the farther they are from the dense octahedral iron crystal core.
This holds the noosphere in mental equilibrium with the solar sunspot cycles, the stellar thought units that are, in turn, coordinated by the galactic core or Hunab Ku.

ON THE STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION OF THE NOOSPHERE
The concept of the noosphere is admittedly difficult to grasp at first blush, yet upon careful and reasoned reflection it is not hard to see that the noosphere is as real as any other sphere, whether the sphere in question be the rocky geosphere, the organic biosphere or the gaseous atmosphere.
The noosphere: an evolutionary outgrowth of the biosphere
Whatever the true implications of the noosphere, it would appear that, under its enormous shadow, life on Earth, and in particular conscious human life, becomes but a sub-structure within some awesome pattern of growth, a pattern of growth grasping and extending itself to realms never dreamed of in traditional philosophies.

Teilhard de Chardin - IS NOOGENESIS PROGRESSING?
Noosphere, also from the Greek noos = psyche (soul, spirit, thought, mind, consciousness) and sphere (a body limited by a round surface), is a word which represents the psychic layer born of Noogenesis which is growing and enveloping our planet above the Biosphere (the mass of living beings which covers the globe).
Thus the result of Noogenesis is the birth of the Noosphere: a more mature, expansive and definitive layer, in an ongoing process of convergence of the collective thought of Homo Sapiens.
Since the Noosphere is an envelope made up of human thought and information, it evolves along with the totality of this planetary consciousness.

Ultimately the noosphere is about mind, and yet music communicates directly to the emotions; perhaps the fulfillment of Teilhard de Chardin¹s noosphere is not a global mind, but rather a global heart.

 The Noosphere and the Internet
Chardin used the term "noosphere" (possibly first coined by Vladimir Vernadsky (3) to represent a sphere of mind encircling the Earth.
Another way to think of the noosphere is to see it as Sir Julian Huxley did, "the union of the whole human species into a simple inter-thinking group based on a single self-developing framework of thought." This, in Chardin's view, is nothing less than a collective human organism.
From being somatic it has become 'noospheric.' And just as the individual at the outset was enabled by the tool to preserve and develop his first, elemental psychic potentialities, so today the noosphere, disgorging the machine from its innermost organic recesses, is capable of, and in process of, developing a brain of its own.
